Mika’s whereabouts now: August 20. I moved house last August 19. From a small 6×5 cozy 4th floor city apartment to a real house with a mezzanine library. I live with two very quiet college students, a semi siamese cat, a flowering garden, an ancient mabolo tree and lots of fresh air. We each have our own rooms, I’m paying very low rent and we get to maintain the whole household. I feel very lucky!

Lirah Shang House and Media And Arts Freelance Society (I work for both) are publishing the IBA Techniques for international market (kaba-kaba). My co-authors and editors are busy working on the 43 day series. No specific date of release yet, but it will be about Summer next year.

can’t wait for your next novel. sigurado ako kakaiba na naman ang characters mo dun. I can still remember yung ala-Hugh Jackman mong hero. Love ko pa rin siya hanggang ngayon… parang ramdam ko pa ang mga titig niya. (aru! parang nakita nang personal). basta para siyang totoong tao. Palagay ko may tunay na taong kang naging inspiration para mabuo yung character na iyon.
and i love the story, kakakilig. parang Beauty and The Beast ang naisip ko. Kahit malayo sa beast ang hitsura ni Hugh. (pasensya ka na ,i can’t recall his name. Pero tanda ko ang name ng love of his life, Verdinni. cute name.)
Maganda siguro yung gawin pelikula (Uy, Bookware, Hint! Hint!)

Sorry for this late response. About my cello novel. I had a great time writing that one. The guy that I imagined for Rodrigo used to be my classmate. We never dated, but I was really charmed by the way he talked, so there. At that time I also had this huge crush on a teacher I met in Germany and put him in the mixture too. The closest familiar guy for all of us will be Hugh Jackman.
Verdinni just came to me while working on the novel’s first few pages. She was a delight to work with, but rather melancholic, if you noticed.
Oo, may nobela ako on queue. Bini-bake/ bino-brew/ iniihaw pa nina Apple. Hehe. I appreciate the Bookware staff so much. They’re so caring, kahit sobrang busy.

Oo, ang tagal kong di napadaan. Hayun, nakakulong sa bahay/office ng halos dalawang linggo. Thanks for inquiring. Tambak projects namin. I belong to an informal group of freelancers and we work on copywriting, editing books, atsaka making coffeetable books for government agencies. Napansin na nga ng sister ko ang tension sa mukha ko– para daw rough road, puro taghiyawat.
Hehe, now I sound like I’m soliciting for sympathy. One more week na lang, I’ll be done with the ga-bundok na projects.

Ahaha, nagno-nosebleed ka rin pala sa mga nobelang ma-drama. Rak n’ roll! Gano’n din ako. I lose interest whenever the heroine starts crying and shows her talent for making people wade in her pool of tears. The poor, boneless thing. Kulang sa vitamin B, hehe.
BTW. Ang hirap mag-message sa multiply mo. Pinag-sa-sign-up muna ako. Maybe I’ll do that. Aira, are you from Bicol? I saw Mayon Volcano among your photos.
